Solar Cells: Lateral Dye‐Sensitized Microscale Solar Cells via Femtosecond Laser Patterning (Adv. Mater. Technol. 6/2016)
Source abstract
Abstract
In article number 1600121, Hongrui Jiang and co-workers present the processing of a nanostructured titanium-dioxide film with interdigital photoelectrode (PE) and counter electrode (CE) fingers, formed by a femtosecond laser, and the realization of a lateral dye-sensitized microscale solar cell. The picture depicts photo-induced electrons and cations separated in the dye-loaded PE fingers and the transport of electrons through the PE fingers to the external circuit, while cations are transported laterally to the platinum-loaded CE fingers.
