Abstract

Stretchable polymer light-emitting diodes with an engineered microwrinkle structure are presented in article number 2000231 by Yongtaek Hong and co-workers. The formation of imperceptible microwrinkle structure, enabled by reducing the film thickness deposited on a prestretched elastomer, suppresses the distortion caused by the out-of-plane wavy structure which occurs in a conventional lamination approach, advancing the feasibility of high-resolution stretchable display.
