Abstract

In article number 1900503, Stephan Eickelmann, Felix F. Loeffler, and co-workers present a cost-effective do-it-yourself setup to generate microarrays. A laser from a Blu-ray player accurately transfers minute amounts of biomolecules to a surface with up to 2 500 spots per cm2. Now, all steps for microarray production can be performed in any chemistry lab around the world without any special equipment at low cost.
