Strain Sensors: A Highly Stretchable, Sensitive, and Transparent Strain Sensor Based on Binary Hybrid Network Consisting of Hierarchical Multiscale Metal Nanowires (Adv. Mater. Technol. 6/2018)
Source abstract
Abstract
In article number 1800020, Ling Zhang, Chunzhong Li, and co-workers develop a binary hybrid network based on a large-sized gold nanowire backbone network and a small-sized silver nanowire network for highly stretchable, sensitive, and transparent strain sensors. The combination of the two networks provides outstanding photoelectric properties, and contributes to extraordinary sensitivity in a large strain range. The sensor is capable of detecting various activities including smiling, drinking, and finger bending, indicating great potential as an invisible wearable strain sensor.
