Li‐S Batteries: A Scaled‐Up Lithium (Ion)‐Sulfur Battery: Newly Faced Problems and Solutions (Adv. Mater. Technol. 6/2016)
Source abstract
Abstract
Lithium sulfur batteries have higher theoretical energy density compared to any commercially-available rechargeable batteries. In article number 1600052, Doron Aurbach, Yang-Kook Sun, and co-workers describe Li-S and Si-Li-S pouch cells based on sulfur - multiwall carbon nanotubes and prelithiated Si/SiOx anodes with high loading. This work emphasizes the need to develop sulfur cathodes with practical parameters.
