Nonreciprocal Intelligent Soundproof Barrier with Active Nonlocal Acoustic Metastructure (Adv. Mater. Technol. 6/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
Active Nonlocal Acoustic Metastructures In article number 2301693, Xue Chen, Hong-Wei Wu, and co-workers present a nonreciprocal soundproof device controlled intelligently by a chip to suppress the noise signals in one direction, while enhancing the communicated signal in the other direction. The customizable nonreciprocal soundproof barriers can realize unidirectional sound insulation and maintain high air-permeability by opening the window.
