Advances in Optical Fiber Aptasensor for Biochemical Sensing Applications (Adv. Mater. Technol. 16/2023)
Source abstract
Abstract
Optical Fibers Aptasensors Optical fiber has attractive characteristics of fine diameter, soft texture, light weight, intrinsic safety and high biocompatibility, as reported by Ya-nan Zhang, Yong Zhao, and co-workers in article 2300137. Specific aptamers modified in the optical fiber sensing region can specifically capture the target analyte in the blood environment, such as cytochrome C. This biological binding event can cause changes of the output optical signal, thereby achieving the purpose of target analyte detection.
