Flexible Electronics: 3D Stretchable, Compressible, and Highly Conductive Metal‐Coated Polydimethylsiloxane Sponges (Adv. Mater. Technol. 7/2016)
Source abstract
Abstract
In article number 1600117, Yizhen Liu, Xuechang Zhou, and co-workers present a low-cost approach for the fabrication of 3D stretchable, compressible, mechanically-durable conductors by electroless metal deposition from chemically-modified, 3D-interconnected, polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) sponges. The elastic nature of PDMS materials and the flexibility of sponge-like structures open up an alternative path for the fabrication of high performance electrical conductors for flexible electronics.
