Abstract

In article number 1800289, an integrated approach combining multiscale biocompatible functional materials and magnetic induction heating technology is proposed by Gang Zhao, Xiaoming He, and co-workers to enable mass volume vitrification of stem cell-alginate hydrogel constructs with low-concentration cryoprotectants. This may greatly facilitate the use of stem cell-based constructs for tissue regeneration and cell-based therapies in the clinic.
