Abstract

Abstract Absorption‐dominated electromagnetic shielding materials play a critical role in modern high‐frequency, sensitive, and complex electronic systems due to their abilities of minimizing secondary interference and electromagnetic pollution. Carbon nanotube (CNT) assembly material is a kind of excellent absorption type shielding material, but the relatively lower electrical conductivity limits its shielding performance. Compositing CNT and metal together can effectively facilitate the merits of both materials. Here, an expansion‐based in situ composition strategy is proposed to embed Au particles into CNT network and lead to CNT/Au fiber. The obtained composite fiber has the characteristics of uniform distribution of Au particles, light weight, and also exhibits higher mechanical and electrical performance. The addition of Au particles plays an important role in enhancing the shielding performance (electromagnetic shielding effectiveness up to 85 dB, A/R up to 2.36) of fabrics, demonstrating an obvious absorption‐dominated feature. Moreover, the CNT/Au fabric also demonstrates excellent environmental stability.
