Abstract

Energy storage smart (ESS) windows represent a very promising research field and hold potential applications in green buildings. In this Communication, an effective template‐free route is presented for synthesizing aqueous tungsten molybdenum oxide nanowire (NW) ink that is used to fabricate ESS window electrodes. Inspired by the bird's nest structure, NWs can be assembled into porous structure on fluorine‐doped tin oxide glass through a simple manufacturing friendly spray coating technique. An energy storage smart window (10 × 10 cm2) based on the biomimetic solution‐processed porous electrode is assembled as a prototype, which provides a promising application in green buildings.
