Abstract

Next-Generation Organoid Systems In article number 2200846, Gong Jing, Xu Haiwei, and co-workers review the progress in microfluidic techniques in organoid cultures focusing on the innovative engineering methods to produce, control, and analyze organoids and their microenvironment. Applications of engineering technology in organoids-on-a-chip are explored from two specific aspects: genome editing and omics analysis. In addition, the future of next-generation organoid culture systems is discussed, such as multiple organoids in single chip devices to build 3D organotypic models.
