Ultrasound‐Controlled Swarmbots Under Physiological Flow Conditions (Adv. Mater. Interfaces 26/2022)

Abstract
Ultrasound-Controlled Swarmbots In article number 2200877, Alexia Del Campo Fonseca, Tobias Kohler, and Daniel Ahmed develop acoustic microrobots as groups of microbubbles (swarms) that are formed when a sound wave is introduced inside the tissue. The sound is generated by an external ultrasound transducer and microbubble swarms are able to navigate along the vessel when exposed to an external blood flow. Blood vessels next to tumor sites are shown as prospective locations for drug delivery.
