Nanofibrillar Hydrogels by Temperature Driven Self‐Assembly: New Structures for Cell Growth and Their Biological and Medical Implications (Adv. Mater. Interfaces 15/2021)
Source abstract
Abstract
Nanofibrillar Hydrogels for Cell Growth In article number 2002202, Andre G. Skirtach and co-workers develop nanofibrillar hydrogels by a new and simple self-assembly procedure upon thermal annealing that is shown to be an effective cell growth platform. Biological and medical implications of nanofibrillar structures are discussed. Developing nanofibrillar materials is linked with insights into cell growth, understanding of interfaces and cell–surface interactions, and insights into medically relevant conditions associated with fibrosis.
