Abstract

Fragileness of liquid marbles annoys researchers in processing. In article number 2000160, Mizuki Tenjimbayashi, Masanobu Naito, and co-workers propose that superhydrophobic surfaces are suitable platforms for liquid marble synthesis and manipulation and enable reversible tuning of interfacial packing on liquid marbles without craftsmanship. This is because liquid marbles on superhydrophobic surfaces are mechanically stable and self-reconfigurable following mechanical impact or exposure of the droplet surface.
