Water‐Based Coatings: Water‐Based Robust Transparent Superamphiphobic Coatings for Resistance to Condensation, Frosting, Icing, and Fouling (Adv. Mater. Interfaces 10/2020)
Source abstract
Abstract
Air-conditioning units usually have poor efficiency of heat transfer when filmwise condensation, frosting or fouling occur on the exchanger surface. In article number 1902201, Youfa Zhang and co-authors spray a water-based paint to create a robust transparent superamphiphobic coating with nanoporous structure. Condensed droplets, melted frost and ice can leave the surface easily with pollutants through jumping or sliding, implying an enhancement of heat transfer.
