Superoleophobic Surfaces: A Bioinspired Hierarchical Underwater Superoleophobic Surface with Reversible pH Response (Adv. Mater. Interfaces 8/2020)
Source abstract
Abstract
Poly(pentafluorophenyl acrylate) micro-pillar-arrays grafted with poly(methacrylic acid) brushes are fabricated via an anodic aluminum oxide template confined synthesis and subsequent post-polymerization modification. The obtained hierarchical film features a permanent underwater superoleophobic and a pH adjustable oil adhesion property. The results pave the way towards preparation of smart hierarchical surfaces that show potential application in self-cleaning devices or marine industry.
