Battery Technology: Multifunctional Separator Coatings for High‐Performance Lithium–Sulfur Batteries (Adv. Mater. Interfaces 22/2016)
Source abstract
Abstract
Multifunctional nanoparticle coatings created in a new Langmuir-Blodgett-like process are used to design high-performance membranes for regulating transport of ions and molecules. In article 1600450, the effectiveness of such membranes in Lithium-sulfur batteries is demonstrated by Lynden A. Archer and co-workers, where coatings based on metal oxide and carbon particles are shown to capture and reutilize lithium polysulfides, an intermediate discharge product.
