Bubble Passage: Underwater Superaerophobicity/Superaerophilicity and Unidirectional Bubble Passage Based on the Femtosecond Laser‐Structured Stainless Steel Mesh (Adv. Mater. Interfaces 14/2020)
Source abstract
Abstract
The bubbles' behavior could be controlled by the structured stainless steel mesh fabricated by the combination of one-step femtosecond laser ablation and chemical modification. The laser-structured both-side trinary-scale rough meshes present superaerophobilciy and superaerophilicity without or with farther fluoroalkylsilane modification, respectively, to realize the bubble's both-side interception and both-side passing through. Just one-side laser ablation and fluoroalkylsilane modification endow the mesh with bubble unidirectional passage property, like a “bubble diode” mesh, which could be used to eliminate and collect the adhered bubbles at the inner wall of a container.
