Abstract

The tilt-angle pillar array, similar to that of butterfly wing, effectively achieves the controlling of droplets in uni-directional spreading along the tilt-angle regulated direction from pillar to pillar as reported by Yucai Lin, Yongmei Zheng, and co-workers in article number 1800962. Furthermore, the contrasting tilt-angle array can be designed onto a surface to control two droplets moving directionally, which realize droplets coalescence as a microreactor.
