Composite Materials: Direct Synthesis of Electrowettable Carbon Nanowall–Diamond Hybrid Materials from Sacrificial Ceramic Templates Using HFCVD (Adv. Mater. Interfaces 10/2017)
Source abstract
Abstract
In article number 1700019, a hybrid carbon nanowall tetrapods-nanocrystalline diamond network synthesized by hot-filament chemical vapour deposition by Eduardo L. Silva and co-workers. This 3D carbon architecture is grown by starting from nanodiamond-ZnO tetrapod templates. The image illustrates the electrochemically controlled wetting behavior of this material, which allows the transition from hydrophobic behavior under negative potentials to hydrophilic at positive ones.
