Drug Delivery: Near‐Infrared Light‐Triggered Intracellular Delivery of Anticancer Drugs Using Porous Silicon Nanoparticles Conjugated with IR820 Dyes (Adv. Mater. Interfaces 4/2016)
Source abstract
Abstract
In article number 1500715 B. Xia and co-workers realize the intracelluar release of DOX molecules from DOX/IR820/NH2-PsiNPs, along with the appearance of micro-scale bubbles and fluorescence diffusing, via in situ photostimulation with an 800 nm Ti-sapphire laser. The successful activation via photostimulation needed the synergic effects of laser power and local concentration of IR820 molecules. This therapeutic approach with PSiNPs-based nanocarriers and accelerated DOX release has a great potential on NIR light-stimulated cancer therapy.
