Abstract

K. Kandere-Grzybowska, B. A. Grzybowski and co-workers demonstrate in article 1400158 micropatterned cell-adhesive islands – here of triangular shapes – that enable to control the shape and cytoskeleton organization of cells that otherwise have heterogeneous undefined shapes. The insets show actin cytoskeleton in triangular cells imaged in consecutive Z-sections by using confocal microscopy on the background of unconstrained cells obtained by differential interference contrast mode.
