Smart Drug Delivery: Ultraviolet Light‐Assisted Electrospinning of Core–Shell Fully Cross‐Linked P(NIPAAm‐co‐NIPMAAm) Hydrogel‐Based Nanofibers for Thermally Induced Drug Delivery Self‐Regulation (Adv. Mater. Interfaces 12/2020)
Source abstract
Abstract
In article number 2000247 by Filippo Pierini and co-workers, an electrospun biomimetic nanoplatform for self-regulated drug delivery is developed. Such smart drug delivery system relies on the confinement of a stimuli-responsive hydrogel within the core of a hierarchical electrospun core-shell fibrous structure. The delivery of loaded bioactive molecules is self-modulated through structural changes triggered by a temperature-regulated cascade.
