Superhydrophobic: A Dip‐Decoating Process for Producing Transparent Bi‐Superhydrophobic and Wrinkled Water Surfaces (Adv. Mater. Interfaces 15/2018)
Source abstract
Abstract
A dip-decoating phenomenon is demonstrated by immersing and withdrawing a superhydrophobic coating from water. In this process, part of the coating's outer layer of nanoparticles is peeled off due to ultra-weak interparticle forces, generating a bi-superhydrophobic surface with different colors and adhesive forces, and a wrinkled water surface covered by jammed nanoparticles. More details can be found in article 1800356 by Xiaoguang Li, Xingguo Geng and co-workers.
