Abstract

Adv. Mat. Interfaces 2016, 3, 1500761 The experimental section of this manuscript contains an inappropriate first paragraph. The correct first paragraph of the experimental section is found below. Preparation of HMNTAs: The MNT array on Si substrate is prepared using the method reported previously[31] and used as substrate without further treatment. In a typical experimental procedure, a MNT substrate is placed into Teflon-lined stainless steel autoclave with a capacity of 100 mL. 2.5 × 10−3 KMnO4 and 10 × 10−3 m concentrated HCl were added to 45 mL deionized water to form the precursor solution. The solution was transferred into the autoclave and the autoclave was then sealed and hydrothermally treated at 140°C for 12 h. After the autoclave was cooled down to room temperature naturally, the products were collected and washed by deionized water. After washing, the as-prepared 4-fold-symmetry HMNTA on Si substrate was dried in air overnight. The as-synthesized products can be easily exfoliated and collected for further use. The 2-fold-symmetry HMNTAs are obtained by the same procedures but increasing the amount of KMnO4 from 2.5 × 10−3 to 3.33 × 10−3 m.
