Nanoimprinting: Nanoimprinting of Flexible Polycarbonate Sheets with a Flexible Polymer Mold and Application to Superhydrophobic Surfaces (Adv. Mater. Interfaces 7/2015)
Source abstract
Abstract
Perfluoropolyether is a promising mold material for imprinting polycarbonate compared with the traditionally used hard/soft-polydimethylsiloxane mold and silicon rigid mold. Only the perfluoropolyether mold can be fully patterned into polycarbonate with viable integrity at 150 °C, as reported by C. C. Liang, C. H. Lin, and co-workers in article 1500030. Perfluoropolyether-imprinted polycarbonate nanopillar arrays are further treated by C4F8 plasma to obtain nanoroughness-on-nanopillar hierarchical surfaces, which possess superhydrophobic slippery characteristics, and good durability.
