Abstract

Nerve guide conduits (NGCs) as a promising alternative to nerve autograft bridge the critical-sized defects in peripheral nerves and recover the function. In article number 2000225, Wenrui Qu, Rui Li, Jianxun Ding and co-workers summarize the latest advances of multifunctional NGCs, which enhance nerve regeneration by providing neuroprotection, antioxidation, angiogenesis, and immune regulation effects, just as canals create oases in the desert through the water supply.
