Water Collection by Sticky Microislands on Superomniphobic Electrospun Surfaces
Source abstract
Abstract
Superomniphobic nanofibers are decorated with bumps of PDMS using an ordinary syringe and needle assembly to create surfaces with ordered wettability patterns. The water collecting efficiency of the surfaces is investigated, with both the size of and distance between bumps having a large effect on the rate of water collection and mechanism of water removal.
