Abstract

The 802 standard or more specifically the 802.11 standard defines the packet structure for transmitting and receiving wireless data. Having discussed the modulation schemes in article #3 and the frame formats in this installment, we will be able to compare the different standards from a functionality point of view in the next article in this series. We will also explore the Bluetooth and Zigbee formats, which are other popular wireless approaches.
