Abstract

A field test procedure was developed and pluck tests were performed on full scale square pre-stressed piles driven in loess in and around the city of Memphis. Careful consideration was given to the identification of the instrumentation, hardware, and software for data acquisition. Perhaps the discussion on instrumentation and testing procedure herein will help researchers in the future who conduct research where pluck tests are deemed appropriate.
