Abstract

A tunable flat lens with a random access reconfigurable metamaterial (RARM) is demonstrated by A.-Q. Liu, N. I. Zheludev, and co-workers on page 4739. The RARM is realized by using an optofluidic metamaterial where resonant properties of every individual metamolecule can be continuously tuned at will using a microfluidic system, which therefore functions as a metamaterial platform creating optical properties on demand.
