Zinc–Air Batteries: A Ternary Ni46Co40Fe14 Nanoalloy‐Based Oxygen Electrocatalyst for Highly Efficient Rechargeable Zinc–Air Batteries (Adv. Mater. 46/2018)
Source abstract
Abstract
In article number 1803372, Min Gyu Kim, Sang Kyu Kwak, Jaephil Cho, and co-workers synthesize a Ni46Co40Fe14 ternary-nanoalloy-based oxygen electrocatalyst for Zn–air batteries by supercritical reaction and heat treatment. Both theoretical calculation and in situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy demonstrate that the Ni46Co40Fe14 can undergo site-selective adsorption during oxygen reduction and evolution reactions due to the charge transfer between the transition metals, which is thought to be responsible for the high Zn–air-battery performance.
