Gelation: Three‐Dimensional Shape Engineered, Interfacial Gelation of Reduced Graphene Oxide for High Rate, Large Capacity Supercapacitors (Adv. Mater. 4/2014)
Source abstract
Abstract
Layer-by-layer gelation of reduced graphene oxide through spontaneous reduction at a metal surface is developed by S. O. Kim and co-workers on page 615. This allows 3D shape engineering and arbitrary scaling up, according to need. Gel sheets with a porous hydrated network show excellent energy-storage performances when they are used as supercapacitor electrodes, demonstrating a high areal capacity as well as a high rate capability.
