Metal-Alloyed NbS2 Nanotubes Synthesized by the Self-Assembly of Nanoparticles
Source abstract
Abstract
Ag- and Nb-alloyed NbS2 nanotubes (see Figure for a TEM image of Ag-NbS2) are the first nanotubes grown by self-assembly of NbS2 nanoparticles. As growth precursors for such doped nanotubes, silver-alloyed (NbS4)xI needle crystals were used. The important stage of the growth technique is the interconversion of two-dimensional structures via an intermediate with one-dimensional needle geometry.
