N2 Electroreduction: A Highly Efficient Metal‐Free Electrocatalyst of F‐Doped Porous Carbon toward N2 Electroreduction (Adv. Mater. 24/2020)
Source abstract
Abstract
In article number 1907690, Zhigang Geng, Jie Zeng, and co-workers report a fluorine-doped 3D porous carbon framework as a highly efficient metal-free catalyst toward N2 electroreduction. F-bonding to carbon atoms creates a Lewis acid site to enhance the repulsive interaction with protons for suppressing H2 evolution, thus enhancing the selectivity of N2 electroreduction into NH3.
