Three‐ and Four‐Photon Excitation of Poly(2‐methoxy‐5‐(2′‐ethylhexyloxy)‐1,4‐phenylenevinylene) (MEH‐PPV)
Source abstract
Abstract
Multiphoton excitation in the electroluminescent polymer MEH-PPV (poly(2-methoxy-5-(2′-ethylhexyloxy)-1,4-phenylenevinylene)) is reported for the first time. The three- and four-photon absorption (3PA and 4PA, see figure) cross-section spectra were determined from 1200 to 1900 nm. The observation of 3PA- and 4PA-excited emission of MEH-PPV opens up new opportunities for applications, such as up-conversion fluorescence devices.
