Cleaner Production Techniques for Developing Sustainable Polymeric Composites: Influencing Factors, Challenges and Future Applications
Source abstract
Abstract
Efficiency of materials (manufactured and fabricated) is truly governed by reduced waste, reduced consumption, extraction of raw materials, reduced energy usage, and an increase in segregated waste. Implementation of environmentally friendly manufacturing techniques helps in protecting our planet from getting polluted and conserve the resources. Sustainable techniques can be used to manufacture the product by reutilizing the waste. In our day-to-day life metallic part can be easily recycled and reused however plastics can’t be and which ends them into garbage. Bioplastics (derived from renewable resources) can be preferred in that case instead of Petro plastics (made from non-renewable crude oil). Renewable resources are naturally occurring resources and can be restocked as and when required (not in same quality and quantity), whereas non-renewable resources are once gone and forever gone. A large number of industries are considering sustainability as a major objective in strategic planning and operation for beating the global competition with enhanced growth rate.
