Abstract

Composites PVA/Graphite/CoFe 1.97 Ce 0.03 O 4 and PVA/CoFe 1.97 Ce 0.03 O 4 were synthesized and studied. The morphology and structure of the starting materials and composites were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDXS) and infrared spectroscopy (IR). The magnetic parameters were measured using a vibrating magnetometer. The absorptive capacity of the obtained materials was evaluated based on the results of measuring the transmission and reflection coefficients using a scalar network analyzer in the range of 8–12 GHz. The results show that the absorption characteristics of the PVA/Graphite/CoFe 1.97 Ce 0.03 O 4 composite are significantly higher than those of the PVA/CoFe 1.97 Ce 0.03 O 4 composites. Effective absorption is observed for the PVA/Graphite/CoFe 1.97 Ce 0.03 O 4 composite in the frequency range of 8–12 GHz and corresponds to −25.08 dB mm −1 , which indicates excellent absorption characteristics of electromagnetic radiation in this frequency range.
