Abstract

Adv. Funct. Mater. 2024, 34, 2405421 DOI: 10.1002/adfm.202405421 The authors regret the misuse of immunofluorescence staining pictures for TNF-α and IL-10 in rat wounds at 4 hours in Figure 6e (Mn0.1PCC+MW) and Figure 6g (Mn0.1PCC). The modified correct version is shown below. In this study, both bacterial infection and ROS promote the shift of macrophages to the pro-inflammatory M1 type. As shown in Figure 6d, the Mn0.1PCC group has a weaker antibacterial capacity than the Mn0.1PCC+MW group, and a large number of bacteria are still present at the site of bacterial infection. At the same time, a large amount of ROS is produced by Mn0.1PCC. Therefore, the presence of bacteria and the production of ROS in the Mn0.1PCC group promote a pro-inflammatory M1-type shift of macrophages at the wound site. To systematically quantify this phenotypic shift, the fluorescence intensities of TNF-α and IL-10 in Figure 6e,g are calculated, and the results are shown in Figure 6f,h. The expression level of the pro-inflammatory factor TNF-α is increased in the Mn0.1PCC group, while the expression level of the anti-inflammatory factor IL-10 is decreased in the Mn0.1PCC group. We apologize for this error.
