ROS‐Responsive Hydrogel Enables Drug/Ion/Gas Co‐Delivery for Improving Survival of Multi‐Territory Perforator Flap in Diabetes (Adv. Funct. Mater. 25/2025)
Source abstract
Abstract
ROS-Responsive Hydrogels In article number 2500586, Hongjun Yang, Dong Zhang, Aixi Yu and co-workers report a novel ROS-responsive multifunctional hydrogel designed to enhance the survival of multi-territory perforator flaps in diabetes. Compared to existing GelMA hydrogels, this ZIF-90 nanoparticle-based hydrogel cleverly achieves the combined delivery of drugs, ions, and gases, reducing oxidative stress and excessive inflammation in the diabetic microenvironment while promoting angiogenesis. Its injectability and favorable mechanical properties broaden the potential applications, paving the way for future clinical use.
