A Journey from Structured Emulsion Templates to Multifunctional Aerogels (Adv. Funct. Mater. 44/2024)
Source abstract
Abstract
Multifunctional Aerogels In article number 2402365, Orlando J. Rojas, Mohammad Arjmand, and co-workers introduce a novel technique for engineering the porous structure of filamentous aerogels. By interfacial complexation during structured emulsion preparation and streaming, they create templates with multi-scale voids and porosities. The resulting aerogels exhibit absorption-dominant electromagnetic interference shielding and record-high oil absorption capacity.
