Abstract

On page 6545, J. Moon and co-workers report on the fabrication of thermally-reducible fugitive shell derived pure copper nanowire networks for transparent conducting electrodes. The Cu-lactate shells encapsulate individual CuNWs as a viable protective layer against oxidation, ensuring sufficient shelf life. Without a reductive atmosphere, Cu-Cu–lactate core–shell nanowires are transformed into highly conductive pure copper nanowires based transparent electrodes.
