Abstract

A. K. Naskar and co-workers introduce novel and powerful method for synthesizing a new class of high-performance renewable thermoplastic elastomers on page 2677. By introducing nanoscale-dispersed lignin) into nitrile rubber the material's morphology and performance can be tuned with temperature-controlled mixing. This new class of elastomers exhibit unprecedented yield stress and strain harden at large deformation, and have potential insustainable products from biomass-based industries.
