Abstract

In article number 1803531, Kan Liu, Yufeng Yuan, Wei Liu, and co-workers describe platelet–leukocyte hybrid membrane-coated immunomagnetic beads with enhanced cancer cell binding and reduced leukocyte interaction for highly efficient and highly specific isolation of circulating tumor cells from cancer patient blood samples. The novel hybrid membrane coating strategy presented in the work will open new possibilities for overcoming the limitations of current theranostic platforms.
