Photoelectrochemical Cells: Carbon Nanotube–Graphitic Carbon Nitride Hybrid Films for Flavoenzyme‐Catalyzed Photoelectrochemical Cells (Adv. Funct. Mater. 24/2018)
Source abstract
Abstract
The cover image illustrates a self-standing, graphitic carbon nitride-carbon nanotube hybrid that functions as a cathodic material for artificial photosynthesis. In nature, green plants operate elaborate photosystems in a beautiful harmony to convert sunlight into chemical energy through photoinduced electron transfer. Inspired by the scheme of natural photosynthesis, Chan Beum Park and co-workers successfully construct a biomimetic photoelectrochemical cell by employing a flavoenzyme as an enantioselective redox catalyst and using water as an electron donor in article number 1705232.
