Surface Nanopatterning and Structural Coloration of Liquid Metal Gallium Through Hypergravity Nanoimprinting (Adv. Funct. Mater. 8/2025)
Source abstract
Abstract
Hypergravity Gallium Nanoimprinting In article number 2416742, Wen Fan and co-workers introduce a hypergravity nanoimprinting technique that utilizes horizontal centrifugation to enable high-fidelity patterning of pure gallium surfaces with nanoscale resolution down to 100 nm. By overcoming gallium's extremely high surface tension, this technique unlocks the potential for advanced liquid metal-based nanophotonic devices, demonstrating the fabrication of vibrant, iridescent structural colors on nanoimprinted gallium surfaces.
