Hybrid Nanosheet Arrays: Boosting Activity on Co4N Porous Nanosheet by Coupling CeO2 for Efficient Electrochemical Overall Water Splitting at High Current Densities (Adv. Funct. Mater. 32/2020)
Source abstract
Abstract
In article number 1910596, Cheng-Peng Li, Miao Du, and co-workers develop a superhydrophilic Co4N-CeO2 hybrid nanosheet on a graphite plate (Co4N-CeO2/GP) for water electrolysis. The strong electronic interaction between Co4N and CeO2 leads to a conspicuous interfacial collaborative catalytic effect, which greatly boosts the hydrogen evolution reaction and oxygen evolution reaction performances of Co4N simultaneously. The electrolyzer based on the Co4N-CeO2/GP electrode shows outstanding water splitting activity and superior stability at high current densities.
