Thick Electrodes: Alternative‐Ultrathin Assembling of Exfoliated Manganese Dioxide and Nitrogen‐Doped Carbon Layers for High‐Mass‐Loading Supercapacitors with Outstanding Capacitance and Impressive Rate Capability (Adv. Funct. Mater. 17/2021)

Abstract
In article number 2009632, Bong Gill Choi and co-workers report alternative-ultrathin assembling MnO2 and nitrogen-doped carbon nanosheets to achieve high-performance supercapacitors. The heterostuctured and interlayer-expanded structure of the MnO2/carbon enables fast and efficient electron ion transfer in a thick electrode. The resulting MnO2/carbon electrode shows outstanding electrochemical performance at an ultrahigh mass loading of 19.7 mg cm−2, ultrahigh capacitance, rate capability, and energy density.
