Recent progress on interface formation in all-solid-state batteries
Source abstract
Abstract
The “softness” of sulfide-based solid electrolytes and several oxide-based electrolytes in the plastic region and the elastic region is outlined. It is possible to construct effective solid–solid interfaces at room temperature by applying “room-temperature pressure-sintering” phenomenon. Young's moduli of the sulfide-based glassy electrolytes were summarized. The Young's moduli of the almost fully dense pellets of them were around 20–30 GPa, which are less than half of most oxide-based solid electrolytes. The tips and the remaining challenges are also briefly described in this review.
